We will talk about three formulations of conservation laws of soliton equations. Primary tools are matrix spectral problems, Hamitonian pairs, and pairs of symmetries and adjoint symmetries. The resulting theories complete the relation between conservation laws and symmetries, thereby supplementing Noether’s theorem for the Euler-Lagrange equations.
主讲人简介：美国南佛罗里达大学教授。其研究领域覆盖应用数学、数学物理、计算机符号计算等方向，特别是对孤立子与可积系统理论中对称、哈密尔顿结构和刘维尔可积性理论的发展作出了重要贡献。在可积系统领域引入了三个创新概念：双非线性化、可积耦合、Complexiton解，并得到广泛应用。马文秀教授是《非线性科学百科全书》可积系统方面唯一一位华裔特邀撰稿人，先后在国内外知名学术杂志上发表论文200多篇，编辑专著四部，为《非线性和现代数学物理国际会议》的创始主席。现担任Advances in Mathematical Physics等20多种国际著名科学杂志的编委，Journal of Applied Mathematics and Physics和Studies in Nonlinear Sciences杂志主编。
